DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Crush, the new official publication of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), will provide a fresh and exciting look at the LPGA, its players and their extraordinary games. Published by TMC USA Llc, Crush complements the LPGA’s energetic sports entertainment platform and is a perfect showcase for the player and teacher celebrities of the LPGA.
Crush is about the game and the dynamic women who play and love it, said Matthew Squire, publisher. The women of the LPGA have helped kick open the doors to a new, global era of golf; Crush brings that world to LPGA fans. Crush’s content will include player profiles beyond the golf course, golf instruction from top LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals, fashion, travel and high-energy features.
Crush will debut in May 2004. A glossy magazine on high-quality paper, Crush will be published in two sizes: a full-sized version and a more compact version for LPGA Tour events. Crush will be distributed nationwide at newsstands, premiere golf resorts, on-site at various LPGA Tour events and at other locations.
We’re excited to work with TMC USA, said LPGA Commissioner Ty M. Votaw. Their dedication to quality and their effectiveness in the marketplace mirrors the integrity and energy of the LPGA. Crush magazine is a perfect vehicle to highlight the excitement of today’s LPGA Tour, giving fans a closer look at the LPGA and our great players and teachers.
