Lemoine passed through waivers unclaimed earlier this week after being designated for assignment and will remain with the Athletics as organizational pitching depth. The 28-year-old righty has recorded an inflated 7.71 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 13/7 K/BB ratio across 16 1/3 innings (nine appearances) this season in the majors.

Lemoine had surrendered 15 runs -- 14 earned -- in 16 1/3 innings of relief this year with Oakland.

The 28-year-old hurler has already appeared in seven games with the big league club this season, posting a 5.56 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 9/5 K/BB ratio over 11 1/3 innings. He’ll add a fresh arm to the bullpen for at least a couple of days until the A’s figure out their starting rotation.

Lemoine pitched well with Triple-A Tacoma in the Seattle farm system in 2021, and looked good enough to be one of several new arms in the Oakland bullpen.

Lemoine posted a sparkling 2.86 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 43/29 K/BB ratio across 56 2/3 innings (45 appearances, one start) at Triple-A Tacoma in the Mariners’ system last year. The 28-year-old righty will add some upper-level relief depth to the Athletics’ system heading into the 2022 season.
