Seahawks DE Jameson Konz is done for the year with a torn ACL.
The converted tight end suffered the season-ending injury in his NFL debut against the Giants Sunday. His loss will be felt slightly on special teams.
  • FA Tight End
Seahawks signed DE Jameson Konz from their practice squad.
Drafted as a hybrid tight end-wide receiver after a dominant Combine performance in 2010, Konz converted to defensive end in this year’s training camp. Though he’s a freak of nature, “The Konz” will likely be limited to a special teams role for the foreseeable future.
  • FA Tight End
Free agent LB Jameson Konz is visiting the Giants.
The converted tight end missed all of 2012 after tearing his ACL in his NFL debut in October 2011. He’d fight for a spot on special teams in New York.
  • FA Tight End
Seahawks seventh-rounder Jameson Konz has been working as a tight end, not a receiver, in OTAs.
A freakishly athletic practice squad candidate, Konz will have to bulk up to stay at tight end even if he’s ultimately a backup for John Carlson as a receiving specialist. The Seahawks aren’t going to ask him to do much blocking.
  • FA Tight End
Seahawks waived TE Jameson Konz, WR Perez Ashford, LB Kyle Knox, TE Andrei Lintz, LS Kyle Nelson, DT Martin Parker, LB Craig Wilkins, and WR Brett Swain.
The Seahawks tried Konz at both tight end and defensive end, but he couldn’t stick. Swain is a former Packers and 49ers retread wide receiver.
  • FA Tight End
Recently re-signed Seahawks DL Jameson Konz has converted back to tight end.
At least that’s columnist Dave Boling’s impression. Signed Tuesday, Konz was working with the tight ends on Wednesday. Konz’s best shot at making the team will be as a special teamer, but his roster odds are long.
  • FA Tight End
Kent State TE/FB Jameson Konz put on a “freakish” display at the Golden Flashes’ pro day earlier this month.
A possible H-back in the NFL, Konz posted a ridiculous 46-inch vertical and was timed at 4.38 and 4.46 in the forty. His broad jump of just over 10'8" would have been a full three inches more than any tight end at the Combine. A converted linebacker, Konz had just 21 catches in his first year on offense in 2009.
  • FA Tight End
Seahawks selected Kent State TE Jameson Konz with the No. 245 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Konz, who played on both sides of the ball in college before ultimately landing at tight end as a senior, is a freakish athlete (46" vertical, 4.46 forty) at 6'4/234, but has little production to show for it. He caught just 23 passes in his college career, and will be buried on Seattle’s depth chart.
  • FA Tight End
    Seahawks re-signed DL Jameson Konz.
Konz missed all of 2012 after tearing his ACL in his NFL debut in 2011. A converted tight end, he’ll fight for a spot on special teams.
  • FA Tight End
The Seahawks have converted tight end Jameson Konz from tight end to defensive end.
Konz entered the league without a position and a 46-inch vertical leap. Still, the position switch after a missed rookie season can’t bode well for Konz’s chances of making the final roster. He’ll have to dominate on special teams.
