The Warriors will not be re-signing Jeremy Pargo to another 10-day deal.
Pargo’s 10-day contact with the Warriors has officially expired, and it doesn’t appear that the Warriors will be bringing him back, so for now, Ky Bowman is again the only active PG on the roster. The Dubs could bring in another guy on a 10-day contract, but that won’t be Pargo, so he’s safe to leave on the waiver wire in all settings.
  • NBA Point Guard #20
According to Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Warriors are likely to keep Jeremy Pargo on the roster for the remainder of the season.
Pargo is currently on a 10-day contract, and at minimum the expectation is that he’ll get a second 10-day in the near future. Golden State is two players shy of the 14-player minimum, and Steve Kerr had nothing but praise for the 34-year old point guard. “You watch him play, and he fits,” Kerr said. “He’s an NBA player. It’s good to see him out there, and I’m glad we’re able to give him this opportunity because he’s earned it.” Pargo sets up to get reserve minutes until Stephen Curry (hand) returns to action, as he surpassed Ky Bowman in the rotation for Golden State’s final game before the break.
  • NBA Point Guard #20
Jeremy Pargo scored a season-high 15 points with one rebound, two assists and three 3-pointers in 21 minutes against the Suns on Wednesday.
He hopped over Ky Bowman on the depth chart for this one after just nine minutes on Monday -- Bowman had four minutes. Pargo is just on a 10-day deal right now, so the Warriors figure to sign him to his second 10-day deal after the break. After that, the Warriors could get Steph Curry (hand) back in March, so Pargo is only a short-term option in very deep leagues.
  • MIN Point Guard #10
Mike Conley (ankle) will not play in Monday’s game against the Thunder.
Details have been scarce about Conley’s sprain, but he’s now missed two straight games and the injury has lingered since last Tuesday. Conley’s status for Grizzlies’ final four games of the week remains murky. Jeremy Pargo will start at point guard once again, but he lasted just 15 minutes in that role Saturday.
  • MIN Point Guard #10
Mike Conley (ankle) said that he’s going to try to play on Tuesday against the Warriors.
Conley has missed the last two games with the injury, but there’s some optimism he’ll be able to play. “It felt a little better, but there’s still pain,” Conley said. “Hopefully, I’ll play (tonight).” Jeremy Pargo started again for Conley on Monday, but he logged just 15 minutes.
  • NBA Point Guard #20
Jeremy Pargo started for injured Mike Conley (ankle) in the Grizzlies’ win over the Thunder on Monday, scoring 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting (including two threes) with one assist in just under 20 minutes.
Pargo apparently isn’t up to the task of running the team with a full set of minutes, and O.J. Mayo got the task of running the point for stretches tonight. Give Pargo a look if you’re desperate, but we need him to play much more before giving the okay in standard leagues. Tony Allen added 15 points, eight boards, and a steal, Marc Gasol went for 13 and eight, and Rudy Gay hit just 4-of-15 shots for 12 points with eight boards and two assists.
  • MIN Point Guard #10
Mike Conley was a late scratch for the Grizzlies on Saturday due to his lingering ankle injury.
Details are scarce but presumably Conley aggravated the injury on Friday, when he scored just seven points in 26 minutes. The Grizzlies launch into a five-game week beginning Monday at OKC, so hopefully we’ll get a positive update about Conley on Sunday.
  • MEM Shooting Guard
Gilbert Arenas had two points on 1-of-5 shooting off the Grizzlies’ bench on Saturday, adding one assist and two turnovers in 19 minutes.
Jeremy Pargo only played seven minutes and it seems Arenas will continue to play backup PG, but he’s nowhere near the player he used to be and he doesn’t deserve fantasy consideration.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #32
Josh Selby was activated in place of Jeremy Pargo for the Grizzlies’ Game 2 win over the Clippers.
The move was made in order for Memphis to have more quickness in the backcourt, but O.J. Mayo wound up playing behind Mike Conley as the reserve point guard.
  • MIN Point Guard #10
Grizzlies PG Mike Conley (sprained ankle) warmed up prior to Sunday’s game, but was not active.
Conley could return to action vs. the Kings on Tuesday, which would move temporary starter Jeremy Pargo back to a reserve role.
