    Astros released INF Joe Sclafani.
Sclafani didn’t do much this spring in the Grapefruit League and he had an underwhelming .709 OPS in 75 games last season between Double-A and Triple-A. The 25-year-old second baseman will have to settle for a minor league contract on the open market.
