    Mets released 1B/OF Joey Terdoslavich.
He’s one of 39 cuts by the Mets, per Michael Mayer of Metsmerized. Terdoslavich is one of the few that has major league experience, although he hasn’t reached the big leagues since 2015.

Mets signed 1B/OF Joey Terdoslavich to a minor league contract.
The 31-year-old hasn’t appeared in the big leagues since the 2015 campaign and spent the 2019 season with the Lancaster Barnstormers of the independent Atlantic League where he slashed .294/.365/.478 with 22 homers, 75 RBI and nine stolen bases in 125 games. He’ll add minor league depth for the Mets.

Joey Terdoslavich went 4-for-4 on Saturday and is 9-for-14 with a homer this spring.
The Braves have pretty much given up on Terdoslavich as a third baseman, so it appears he’ll play the outfield corners in Triple-A this year. That doesn’t bode well for his major league chances -- especially not on a team with two Upton brothers and Jason Heyward -- but maybe he’ll be included in a trade if he keeps hitting.

Freddie Freeman is not in the Braves’ starting lineup on Monday night against the Brewers.
The Braves clinched the National League East on Sunday at Wrigley Field and are giving their star first baseman a day of rest for Monday’s series-opener with Milwaukee. Joey Terdoslavich will fill in. Freeman should still get regular starts over the final week because Atlanta wants to lock up home-field advantage through the NLCS.

Freddie Freeman is not in the Braves’ starting lineup for Thursday night’s game against the Indians.
It’s just a routine day of maintenance for the first baseman. Joey Terdoslavich is filling in for him.

Braves purchased the contract of 1B/OF Joey Terdoslavich from Triple-A Gwinnett.
The young slugger will join up with the Braves on Thursday evening in Atlanta. Terdoslavich, 24, has hit .318/.359/.567 with 18 homers and 58 RBI in 85 games this season at Gwinnett, but he might not play enough this time around to hold fantasy value. Freddie Freeman, Justin Upton, B.J. Upton and Jason Heyward are healthy.

Joey Terdoslavich has been working out some at catcher this spring.
Terdoslavich has never played the position as a pro and likely would only be used there in an emergency situation. Given that the Braves will carry three catchers on their Opening Day roster, the likelihood of Terdoslavich seeing time behind the plate this year is slim.

Pirates signed 1B/OF Joey Terdoslavich to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Terdoslavich, 28, spent most of 2016 with the Orioles’ Double-A affiliate while batting .246/.349/.419 with 14 homers and 61 RBI over 109 games. He hasn’t appeared in the majors since 2015 with the Braves and will likely function as organizational depth for Pittsburgh.

Braves optioned INF/OF Joey Terdoslavich to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Terdoslavich hit a pinch-hit, go-ahead home run in Tuesday’s game but finds himself back in the minors the next day. He’s clearing room for Kelly Johnson’s return from the disabled list.

Braves recalled INF/OF Joey Terdoslavich from Triple-A Gwinnett.
He’ll replace the injured Freddie Freeman (wrist) on the active roster. The 26-year-old Terdoslavich has missed most of the season with a wrist injury, but he gives the Braves some depth between first base and the outfield.
