Jonathan Simmons will sign a deal with the Liaoning Flying Leopards in China.
Simmons recently took part in the Warriors’ minicamp and impressed head coach Steve Kerr who said he thinks he still has a future in the NBA. The CBA will likely end well before the NBA, so it’s possible Simmons returns to the states for the end of the 2021 season.

Steve Kerr said that Jonathon Simmons impressed him at the Warriors’ minicamp.
“Simmons has had a good week of camp and still has years to offer in the NBA, in my opinion,” said Kerr. To be clear, Simmons is not currently under contract with the Warriors, but it sounds like he did enough at this minicamp to at least receive a training camp offer next season. He could provide some scoring in the second unit, but it’s unlikely he’d produce in fantasy hoops.

The Wizards have released guard Jonathon Simmons.
Simmons was acquired from the 76ers in a draft-day trade. He will receive $1 million guaranteed, even with his release. Simmons was due $5.7 million if he was on the roster on July 8.

According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Jonathon Simmons has been traded to the Washington Wizards.
Simmons will be traded, along with the 42nd pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, for cash considerations from the Wizards. Simmons has a non-guaranteed contract for the 2019-2020 season that will become guaranteed on July 1, so this move will allow the 76ers to have maximum flexibility this summer. Simmons has very little fantasy value these days, even with his new team.

Jonathon Simmons will begin the postseason ahead of Zhaire Smith in the Sixers rotation.
This comes directly from coach Brett Brown, who will bet on Simmons’ veteran experience and hard-nosed defense in this series vs. the Nets. As long as Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris are healthy, though, neither Simmons nor Smith are likely to help DFS owners.

J.J. Redick (back) will not suit up for Tuesday’s game in Miami.
There’s a chance Redick could miss Philly’s final two games with the 76ers locked in as the No. 3 seed and his absence will translate to more minutes for T.J. McConnell and Jonathon Simmons.

Jimmy Butler (back) is questionable to face the Bucks on Thursday.
Butler powered through the back issue on Wednesday, but the 76ers may want to take it easy on him with this being the second leg of a back-to-back set. Butler won’t be able to test his back until he goes through his pregame routine, so he’ll likely be a game-time call tonight. If he’s forced to sit, Jonathon Simmons will likely get the start.

Jonathon Simmons notched a DNP-CD Wednesday against the Bulls.
Coach Brett Brown has been experimenting with his rotation since the trade deadline, using Simmons and James Ennis in the same role, but not playing them together. Both guys have minimal fantasy value at this point and are best left as free agents.

Jonathon Simmons scored three points (1-of-4 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs) with one rebound and one assist in 18 minutes against the Heat.
Simmons saw his highest minute total as a Sixer in Thursday’s win. Furkan Korkmaz (knee) will be out for the foreseeable future, which gives Simmons more opportunity off the bench. Still, the starters dominate the box score in Philly, which doesn’t leave much for the bench unit. He’s best left on the wire in most formats.

Jonathon Simmons (strained left oblique) had three points, two assists and one rebound in three minutes during his Philly debut on Sunday.
Simmons didn’t check in until garbage time and it’s unlikely he’ll be in the rotation most nights. He wasn’t helping fantasy owners in Orlando, either, so his move to Philly shouldn’t have impacted many lineups.
