A source told The Athletic’s Robert Murray that it’s worth $700,000 and includes an option for 2020. Hancock, 28, made his major league debut last season, allowing two runs in 12 1/3 innings for the Cubs.

The 28-year-old hurler missed the entire second half of the 2018 season due to recurring shoulder issues, and may have played a role in the Cubs cutting bait with him. He owns a 1.46 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 11/9 K/BB ratio over 12 1/3 innings in his big league career.

The move restores him to the 40-man roster. Hancock held a 1.46 ERA and 11/9 K/BB ratio over 12 1/3 innings but missed the entire second half with shoulder issues.

Hancock, 26, holds an underwhelming 3.91 ERA and 6.7 K/9 rate in the minors. He’s made a full-time move to relief this season but has put up a 6.23 ERA at the Triple-A level.

Hancock was just recalled from Triple-A on Friday to replace Rob Zastryzny. The 27-year-old right-hander owns an ERA of 1.46 in his time with the Cubs that’s been accumulated over 12 1/3 innings in 10 appearances. We should know more about a timetable on Hancock shortly.

Hancock has been out since late June with inflammation in his right shoulder and apparently hasn’t made a whole lot of progress. There is no timetable for his return to live action.

Hancock was just optioned Friday but can return because he’s replacing an injured player in Rob Zastryzny (back). He holds a 1.50 ERA in 12 innings of relief this season.

Hancock will start up some rehab activities down there, though there’s not a clear timetable for his return. The 27-year-old right-hander was placed on the 10-day disabled list June 26 with inflammation in his pitching shoulder. He owns a promising 1.46 ERA through his first 12 1/3 major league innings this season with Chicago, though his command hasn’t always been spot-on. Hancock might be stationed at Triple-A Iowa once he returns to full health.

Luke Farrell will take his spot on the active roster. Hancock owns a 1.74 ERA in seven appearances with the Cubs this season and should get another shot soon.

Hancock will serve as the 26th man for the Cubs in the second half of Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Dodgers. The 27-year-old right-hander holds a 1.74 ERA in seven appearances this season at the MLB level.
