Bills.com’s Chris Brown lists Kenny Ladler as a candidate for the No. 3 safety job.
A 2014 undrafted free agent, Ladler was promoted from the practice squad in Week 6 and made two appearances prior to landing on I.R. Buffalo failed to add depth after losing Da’Norris Searcy, leaving Baccari Rambo and Jonathan Meeks as their only backup options unless Corey Graham moves to safety full time.

Bills signed Vanderbilt S Kenny Ladler.
Ladler (6-foot 1/8, 207) started 38 games for the Commodores and earned first-team All-SEC recognition from the conference’s coaches as a senior. He finished his career with nine picks, 11 tackles for loss, and seven forced fumbles. Ladler ran a disappointing 4.70 forty at the Combine, but showed plus all-around athleticism with an explosive 10-foot-7 broad jump, and did 24 reps on the bench. A well-put-together, downhill safety, Ladler projects best as a strong safety with special teams value.

Bills placed S Kenny Ladler on injured reserve with an arm injury, ending his season.
An undrafted rookie out of Vanderbilt, Ladler made two Sunday appearances after being promoted from the practice squad. He’ll fight for one of the Bills’ final roster spots in 2015.
  • FA Defensive Back
    Bills waived S Kenny Ladler.
A priority UDFA signing, Ladler missed the majority of the preseason with a hamstring injury. The Bills will add him to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
  • FA Defensive Back
Bills promoted S Kenny Ladler from the practice squad.
With Aaron Williams and Da’Norris Searcy both questionable for Week 6, Ladler will provide depth as the No. 4 safety. A priority UDFA signing, Ladler is a good bet to remain on Buffalo’s roster going forward.
