Arkansas redshirt sophomore QB KJ Jefferson completed 18-of-21 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown while rushing 19 times for 67 yards and another score in Saturday’s 44-30 win over South Carolina.
Jefferson didn’t do much through the air, despite completing an impressive 85.7% of his passes. His lone touchdown pass came on a beautifully thrown ball to wide receiver Warren Thompson for a 23-yard score, but most of Arkansas’ damage was done on the ground. As a team, the Razorbacks rushed for 295 yards and five scores, with Jefferson’s score coming on a two-yard plunge to start the third quarter. Now off to a 2-0 start, Jefferson and the Razorbacks look to push their record to 3-0 next week against Missouri State.
