The Seahawks are unlikely to re-sign free agent WLB Leroy Hill.
Hill had a decent season in 2012, starting 12 games and racking up 47 tackles, but his arrest for domestic violence last month salted away any chances he had of re-upping in Seattle. The Seahawks have a capable replacement in Malcolm Smith, while the Tacoma News Tribune says Kyle Knox is a “player to watch.”
  • FA Linebacker #57
    Jaguars waived LB Kyle Knox.
The move clears a roster spot for LB John Lotulelei, who was claimed off waivers from the Seahawks. A second-year undrafted free agent, Knox had been active for each of Jacksonville’s first four games.

Jaguars claimed LB Kyle Knox off waivers from the Seahawks.
A second-year undrafted free agent out of Fresno State, Knox tallied two preseason sacks. He’ll audition for a spot along the Jags’ woeful defensive line in Thursday’s preseason finale. Although his odds are probably worse than 50-50, Knox should get a real shot at a roster spot.
  • FA Linebacker #57
Saints promoted LB Kyle Knox from the practice squad.
Knox appeared in four games for the Jaguars earlier this season but didn’t make a tackle. He’ll contribute on special teams if active in the playoffs. S Eric Frampton was waived to make room for Knox.
  • FA Linebacker #57
NFL suspended free agent LB Kyle Knox for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.
Knox spent three days on the Cowboys’ roster earlier this month, so they must have known the ban was coming before cutting him June 5. Knox appeared in four games for the Jaguars last season and also spent time with the Saints.
  • FA Defensive Back #46
Saints waived S Marcus Ball and LB Kyle Knox.
Both players were fringe contributors in 2014, with Ball making two starts. Ball turns 28 in July, while Knox recently turned 26. Ball is an ex-CFLer who could head back north of the border.
