White Sox signed RHP Matt Pobereyko to a minor league contract.
Pobereyko spent time with the Sioux City Explorers of the independent American Association before signing a minor-league deal with the Marlins last July. The 30-year-old righty reliever went on to record a microscopic 1.17 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 21/6 K/BB ratio across 15 1/3 innings at Double-A Pensacola. He’ll serve as organizational relief depth for the White Sox this upcoming season.
