Dolphins placed LB Mike Hull on the reserve/PUP list.
It’s horrific news for Hull, as he’ll now be forced to miss all of 2019. Hull additionally missed the first eight weeks of the 2018 season with a sprained MCL, and has made just five starts for Miami since initially signing with the team in ’15. Inked to a one-year contract in March, it’s likely Hull’s played his last snap with the Fins.
  • FA Tight End #89
Dolphins placed TE Dwayne Allen, LB Mike Hull, and CB Cordrea Tankersley on the active/PUP list.
All three can be activated at any time. Allen signed a two-year deal with Dolphins this offseason and is expected to operate as the second tight end behind Mike Gesicki. The veteran tight end is off the fantasy radar. The Dolphins also claimed OL Will Holden off waivers and waived cornerback Jamar Summers.
  • FA Linebacker #45
Dolphins re-signed LB Mike Hull to a one-year contract.
Hull missed the first eight weeks with a sprained MCL last year. He returned for the second half to play 191 snaps on special teams. Hull can also backup at inside linebacker behind Raekwon McMillan. He’s been with Miami since 2015.
  • FA Linebacker #45
Dolphins LB Mike Hull is out indefinitely with a sprained MCL.
He suffered the injury in Thursday’s preseason opener versus the Bucs. No timetable has been given for Hull’s return, though beat writer Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald believes he’ll be back this season. Hull logged 183 snaps as a backup linebacker for the Fins in 2017.
  • FA Linebacker #45
Third-year LB Mike Hull is expected to take over the Dolphins’ middle linebacker job.
The Dolphins are reportedly seeking to replace Raekwon McMillan “from inside and outside the team” and “all options are going to be explored.” This includes a potential trade, and one name that’s come up is Mychal Kendricks of the Eagles. There doesn’t seem to be much confidence in Hull as the starter.
  • FA Linebacker #45
Dolphins signed Penn State LB Mike Hull.
Hull (6'0/237) was named Big 10 Linebacker of the Year as a senior, finishing his career with 21.5 TFLs, 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a pair of interceptions. Hull showed passable athleticism during the pre-draft phase, running 4.68 with a 30 1/2-inch vertical before shining in the three-cone drill and 60-yard shuttle. Undersized and not a thumper against the run, Hull will have to impress his coaches with efficient tackling skills and a hard-nosed playing style.
  • FA Linebacker #45
Dolphins re-signed LB Mike Hull, DB Jordan Lucas and C Jake Brendel.
All three players were exclusive rights free agents. Touted as a potential starter last summer, Hull ended up getting benched relatively quickly. He played 183 snaps on defense.
  • FA Linebacker #45
Dolphins LB Mike Hull was forced from Thursday’s preseason opener with a left MCL injury.
Hull was carted from the game and immediately declared out. Hull is fighting to maintain his 53-man roster spot as a reserve and special teamer. Reports indicate Hull will miss multiple weeks, but not the entire season.
