A.J. Murray, Steve Karsay and Scott Feldman combined on a perfect game for Double-A Frisco against Corpus Christi tonight.
Murray, who returning from a torn labrum this year, pitched the first six innings. He is a potential middle reliever for the Rangers.

Murray has given up five runs in nine innings for Texas this season. He’ll resume pitching in middle relief.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher

Murray gave up two runs in 1 1/3 innings in his only appearance for the Rangers.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher
Rangers optioned LHP A.J. Murray to Triple-A Oklahoma.
Murray had done a nice job over the last few weeks, but he pitched three innings last night and the Rangers needed an infielder. As a result, he’ll head back to Triple-A until rosters expand.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher
Rangers recalled LHP A.J. Murray from Triple-A Oklahoma.
Murray had a 3.25 ERA in 44 1/3 innings for Oklahoma. He’ll work in middle relief.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher
A.J. Murray will get his first start of the season for the Rangers Tuesday against the Angels.
It’s a big start for the lefty, as Texas plans to look at him as a starting pitcher next year. Murray (1-1 with a 5.29 ERA) will be on a pitch count of 65 to 70 pitches, so if the Rangers get four innings out of him, they’ll be happy.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #54
Rangers optioned LHP Matt Harrison, OF Brandon Boggs, LHP A.J. Murray and RHP Warner Madrigal to Triple-A Oklahoma; reassigned 1B Nate Gold and C Taylor Teagarden to minor league camp.
Murray was the only one here with a realistic chance of making the team, but he gave up six runs in five innings. Harrison allowed six runs -- four earned -- in 6 1/3 innings. He’ll be in the rotation at Oklahoma and could receive a callup in the first half of the season.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher
Brewers signed LHP A.J. Murray to a minor league contract.
He’ll also get an invite to spring training. The 27-year-old spent last season between Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Oklahoma City, going a combined 4-2 with a 2.87 ERA and one save in 41 appearances. He will provide organizational depth for Milwaukee.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher
Rangers recalled LHP A.J. Murray from Triple-A Oklahoma.
Murray, 26, had a 4.50 ERA in two starts and 12 relief appearances for the Rangers last season. He’ll start Saturday in place of Jason Jennings, but he’s a poor bet in AL-only leagues.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher
A.J. Murray recorded a win in his season debut after allowing three runs -- two earned -- in 5 1/3 innings Saturday against the A’s.
Murray allowed six hits, walked two and struck out two. With back-to-back starts against the Mariners coming up, it’d almost be tempting to pick him up in AL-only leagues. However, while Seattle is struggling overall, the team’s lineup is hitting .321 versus southpaws, with an OPS about 200 points better than against righties. It’s best to stay away for now.
