    Cardinals signed RHP Aaron Wilkerson to a minor league contract.
    The 36-year-old hurler elected free agency earlier in the week after trigging an opt-out clause in his minor league deal with the Reds. Wilkerson had registered a 4.17 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and a 78/17 K/BB ratio over 95 innings over 18 starts at the Triple-A level. It shouldn’t take him long to earn an opportunity with the Cardinals.

He’s merely extra organizational depth for Cincinnati entering spring training and can be safely ignored in all fantasy formats.

    Aaron Wilkerson has signed with the Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization.
    Wilkerson signed a minor league contract with the Athletics back in April and didn’t wind up making it back to the majors this season. The 34-year-old righty hasn’t appeared in the big leagues since making eight relief appearances for the Brewers back in 2019. He’ll take his talents overseas for the remainder of the 2023 campaign and take home $350,000 in the process.

    Wilkerson hasn’t appeared in the majors since the 2019 campaign when he made eight relief appearances for the Brewers. The 33-year-old right-hander didn’t pitch anywhere last year and spent the 2022 season overseas with the Hanshin Tigers of Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball. He’ll serve as organizational pitching depth for the Athletics at Triple-A Las Vegas.

    Wilkerson came close to signing with the Rakuten Monkeys of the Chinese Professional Baseball League before inking a minor-league deal with the Dodgers and posting a solid 3.86 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 125/24 K/BB ratio across 112 innings (23 appearances, 19 starts) at Triple-A Oklahoma City last year. The 32-year-old righty last appeared in the majors with the Brewers back in 2019.
