Serrano

Serrano, who made his major league debut back in April, suffered through an injury-plagued season in the minors and had a 4.99 ERA in 30 2/3 innings when healthy. The 27-year-old will likely pitch in Triple-A in another organization next year.

His first appearance will be his major league debut. Serrano, who last year finished 3-5 with a 5.04 ERA in 69 2/3 innings at Salt Lake, was 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA in five games thus far. He’ll be put in the Angels’ struggling bullpen, and could stick over Jason Bulger with an impressive performance.

Serrano pitched a scoreless inning in his major league debut Wednesday, but Chris Bootcheck is ready to reclaim his spot in the Angels’ bullpen.
