Alex White was knocked around for six runs over 4 1/3 innings as part of road loss to the Dodgers Sunday.
White struck out just one, walked three and gave up five hits. The 2009 first-round pick of the Indians was nursing a 4-2 lead through four innings, but allowed the first four batters of the fifth to reach base. The good news for White is that he had 2.92 ERA in Triple-A this season and gets the light-hitting Mariners next. There’s still some upside here for deep NL-only owners.

Alex White allowed one run on two hits and a walk over two relief innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Cubs.
He did strike out a pair and got three groundouts. White, who was charged with a DUI over the weekend, is hoping to gain a spot in the Rockies rotation. After an 8.42 ERA and 1.69 WHIP down the stretch for the Rockies last year, he might be best off getting some more seasoning.

Alex White could be charged with an “extreme” DUI.
White’s blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.174 after his arrest Saturday night in Scottsdale. Under Arizona law, anything over 0.15 is considered extreme and carries additional consequences. The situation continues to worsen for the 23-year-old rotation hopeful.

Rockies optioned RHP Alex White to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
White told reporters last week that he was comfortable pitching out of the bullpen this year, but the Rockies want to continue grooming him as a starter. The 23-year-old right-hander should be up in the major leagues at some point this summer. The Rox are still sorting out their starting rotation with Opening Day fast approaching.

Alex White is expected to start Tuesday’s game against the Padres.
He’ll effectively take the place of Jhoulys Chacin, who was demoted to the minors last week. White, who was acquired from the Indians last July in the Ubaldo Jimenez deal, has a 2.92 ERA and 21/8 K/BB ratio in 24 2/3 innings over five starts at the Triple-A level this year. He’s worth adding in NL-only leagues, especially with the promising first matchup.

Rockies recalled RHP Alex White from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
As expected, White will make the start Tuesday night against the Padres. The 23-year-old right-hander was off to a strong start with the Sky Sox, posting a 2.92 ERA and 21/8 K/BB ratio in 24 2/3 innings over five starts. He struggled with the home run ball as a rookie last year, but his potential is worth owning in NL-only leagues.

Alex White gave up four runs in four innings Friday against the Rockies to fall to 0-2 this spring.
White has given up six runs in nine innings. Since he has options left and did miss a big chunk of last year, he might be Triple-A bound for the start of the season.

Alex White took a loss in his season debut after allowing two runs in 6 1/3 innings Tuesday against the Rockies.
A quality debut for White. He probably has a better chance of sticking in Colorado’s rotation that Christian Friedrich, though Friedrich may have the greater upside of the two. NL-only leaguers could do worse than having him stashed away.

Alex White was arrested on a DUI charge Saturday night in Scottsdale, Arizona.
It’s not clear what legal implications White might face, but general manager Dan O’Dowd said he will not be punished by the Rockies, as they were impressed by the way he handled himself after the arrest. The young right-hander is hoping to win a spot in the team’s rotation after struggling for them down the stretch last year.

Alex White took a loss despite giving up just one run in three innings Sunday against the Brewers.
White’s DUI arrest didn’t win him any character points, but the Rockies still figure to give him a rotation spot if he proves worthy. He’s allowed two runs in five innings to date.
