Athletics acquired INF Alexander Campos and RHP Emilio Pagan from Seattle for INF/DH Ryan Healy.
Campos was Seattle’s big get from the 2016 international signing period, picking up a $575,000 bonus as a 16-year-old out of Venezuela. He hit .290/.413/.367 in the Dominican Summer League in 2017, and reports are that he’s better with the glove than the bat. The young shortstop is obviously a long way away from being anything close to big-league ready, but there’s significant upside because of his position and skill set.
