Double-A Jacksonville’s Andy LaRoche left the second game of a doubleheader yesterday after fouling a ball off his ankle.
He’s probably day-to-day. LaRoche is batting .269/.365/.483 in 41 games since moving up to Double-A.

Andy LaRoche suffered a partially torn labrum in his right shoulder while making a diving grab for Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday.
Dr. Frank Jobe prescribed 10 days of rest before deciding whether surgery would be necessary. If LaRoche undergoes surgery, he’d likely miss the rest of the season, though perhaps he’d be back for the Arizona Fall League.

Andy LaRoche went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI Monday in his debut for Triple-A Las Vegas.
Joel Guzman apparently won’t be playing much third base after he’s sent back to Triple-A. LaRoche hit .309/.419/.483 with nine homers in 230 at-bats for Jacksonville. A great deal of that production came in the last month.

Andy LaRoche finished 3-for-4 with a home run Monday for Double-A Jacksonville.
LaRoche has really picked it up over the last couple of weeks and is now hitting .290/.396/.441. The lack of power remains a disappointment, but he should keep improving.

Andy LaRoche won’t undergo surgery to repair a partially torn labrum. He could resume playing for Triple-A Las Vegas next month.
“He threw Saturday and he threw today and feels OK,” Dodgers scouting director Logan White said Sunday. “It’s just now where he’s throwing with no pain, though he hasn’t really aired it out yet. So we’ll see, but we’re pleased with the way he’s responded.” If LaRoche comes back strong, he might be a factor at third base for the Dodgers come August or September.

Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports that the Indians are interest in free agent infielder Andy LaRoche and free agent outfielder Mike Cameron.
Not surprisingly, they would only be willing to sign both players to a minor league deal. LaRoche, 28, batted only .247/.320/.333 with no homers over 93 at-bats for the A’s this past season and didn’t hit a whole lot at Triple-A, either. Cameron, who will turn 39 in January, hit just .203/.285/.359 with nine homers over 237 at-bats for the Red Sox and Marlins.

Indians signed INF Andy LaRoche to a minor league contract.
The deal includes an invite to spring training. LaRoche, 28, batted just .247 with no homers over 93 at-bats with the A’s this past season and has a lousy .226/.305/.337 batting line in the big leagues. The former top prospect will have to have an outstanding spring in order to win a roster spot.

    Indians released INF Andy LaRoche.
LaRoche signed a minor league deal with the Indians over the winter and was hitting just .234/.331/.372 with five homers and a .704 OPS over 46 games with Triple-A Columbus. The former top prospect will attempt to latch on elsewhere.
