Diamondbacks OF prospect Anfernee Grier slugged his first professional home run Saturday in a win for Rookie-level Missoula.
He also contributed an RBI double in the seventh inning as Missoula rolled to a 12-3 win over Billings. Grier can breathe a sigh of relief after going just 1-for-12 with three strikeouts in his first four games. The 20-year-old hit .366 with 12 HR, 41 RBI and 19 steals in 56 games for Auburn this past season. The Diamondbacks chose Grier with the 39th overall pick in this year’s draft.
