When Graffanino was removed for a pinch hitter in the ninth, manager Tony Peña planned to shift Joe Randa to second, Aaron Guiel to third and Matt Stairs to left if the Royals had tied the game or taken the lead. Berroa’s status for tonight’s game is uncertain.
