Armando Galarraga has been placed on the disabled list at Double-A Frisco with elbow soreness.
Galarraga has been a disappointment since arriving in the Alfonso Soriano trade. He is 1-6 with a 5.49 ERA for Frisco.

    Orioles released RHP Armando Galarraga.
They essentially chose Dana Eveland over him, as Eveland has accepted an assignment at Triple-A Norfolk, while Galarraga gets the boot. Galarraga really struggled with the D’Backs last season and will just hope to be given a shot at Triple-A with someone.

Armando Galarraga yielded three earned runs in two innings on Monday against the Blue Jays.
He surrendered only two hits, but also walked three. He now owns a 6.75 ERA this spring.

According to Venezuelan reporter Augusto Cardenas, Armando Galarraga is working out at the Yankees’ spring training complex and might sign a deal with the team.
Galarraga has struggled mightily to attract free agent interest since being released from the Orioles in early-April. There’s very little risk in a minor league contract, however, and it wouldn’t hurt the Yankees to add a little organizational pitching depth. Galarraga has a 4.69 career ERA in the majors and a 1.38 career WHIP.

Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen said free agent Armando Galarraga recently reached out to him to see if the team might be interested in him.
Galarraga is hoping Guillen, a fellow Venezuelan, can get him a job after he was released by the Orioles earlier this month. “I’ve passed it up the ladder,” Guillen said. The Marlins don’t need starter help at the major league level, but it’s possible they could give Galarraga a shot on a minor league deal.

Orioles signed RHP Armando Galarraga to a minor league contract.
The deal includes a spring training invite. Galarraga, who turned 31 on Sunday, had an ugly 5.91 ERA and 28/22 K/BB ratio over eight starts with the Diamondbacks last season. He could be in the mix for a rotation spot with an impressive showing.

Armando Galarraga got roughed up in Sunday’s loss to the Diamondbacks, allowing five runs on six hits and two walks in just 3 2/3 innings.
He struck out one, walked two and surrendered a solo home run to Aaron Hill. Galarraga is now 0-4 as an Astro, and has failed to record more than 16 outs in any of his five starts. Through 24 frames, he’s sporting a 6.75 ERA, 1.92 WHIP and abysmal 17/18 K/BB ratio. Perhaps the Astros will give someone younger a shot soon.

Armando Galarraga will be called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Saturday against the Pirates.
Galarraga will take the rotation spot of Wandy Rodriguez, who was traded to the Pirates. Interestingly enough, he’ll face Rodriguez on Saturday. Galarraga has a 4.12 ERA and 31/18 K/BB ratio over 43 2/3 innings in nine starts at the Triple-A level this year. He can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Armando Galarraga allowed three runs on six hits in five innings of Wednesday’s loss to the Nationals.
He struck out five, walked six and had the misfortune of serving up a two-run homer to his Nationals counterpart, Gio Gonzalez. Galarraga hasn’t exactly been electrifying through his first three starts in an Astros uniform, posting a 5.28 ERA, 1.96 WHIP and 14/14 K/BB ratio through 15 1/3 frames, but has been good enough to hold down a rotation spot for what is fast becoming a legendarily bad team.

Astros signed RHP Armando Galarraga to a minor league contract.
Galarraga will throw a couple of bullpen sessions in Kissimmee, Florida before joining the starting rotation with Triple-A Oklahoma City. The 30-year-old right-hander owns a 4.69 ERA in the majors, including a 5.91 ERA in eight starts with the Diamondbacks last year.
