After Ted Lilly was scratched, Brian Tallet, Jeremy Accardo and Brandon League combined on a two-hitter in the Jays’ 8-1 win over the Orioles on Monday.
Tallet, making his first start since 2003, gave up the run, which was unearned. He walked four in 2 1/3 hitless innings before being replaced by Accardo, who allowed both hits in 2 2/3 innings of work. That earned him the win. League took over to start the sixth and retired 12 of the 13 hitters he faced for his first major league save.
