Blue Jays acquired RHP Chris McElvain from the Reds for INF Santiago Espinal.
McElvain was Cincinnati’s eighth-round pick in the 2022 MLB Draft and posted a respectable 3.75 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 87/41 K/BB ratio across 96 innings (23 appearances, 19 starts) last year between Single-A Daytona and High-A Dayton.
