Pirates acquired LHP Connor Oliver from the Royals for RHP Colin Selby.
The Pirates had designated Selby for assignment earlier in the week, so they were willing to flip him for anything that they could get at this stage. Oliver, 22, was the Royals’ 17th round selection from last season’s MLB draft and made just one appearance for their Rookie League squad before the 2023 season came to a close.
