Mariners claimed outfielder Cristian Guerrero off waivers from the Brewers and assigned him to Single-A Inland Empire.
Cristian is the cousin of Vladimir and Wilton. He looked like a real prospect heading into 2002, but he struggled in his first attempt at Double-A and he was even worst back at Huntsville this year, batting .197. At this point, he’s not a good bet to ever reach the majors.
