Cutter Dykstra hit his first homer and doubled Thursday for Rookie Helena.
Lenny’s son may have been an overdraft in the second round, but Tony Gwynn Jr. looked like a bigger reach once upon a time and he’s proven to be a pretty good value for the second round. Dykstra is 8-for-32 with six walks so far as a pro. He should prove to be a pretty good on-base guy, but he’s not particularly athletic. The Brewers have already had him move from shortstop to center field, and it’s possible he’ll end up in left.
