    Mariners signed SS Dawel Joseph.
The deal is reportedly for $3 million. Joseph is ranked as the seventh-best international prospect in this year’s class, according to MLB Pipeline. He’s one of the more projectable players in the class, and MLB Pipeline refers to him as an infield version of Byron Buxton. He’s an athletic shortstop with plus speed potential and simple mechanics in his swing which leads to strong contact and a good feel for the strike zone. Scouts also believe he could become an above-average defensive shortstop.
