Garcia

García, 25, has an ugly 7.74 ERA over 52 appearances across parts of three seasons at the major league level. He’s been assigned to Double-A Harrisburg where he’ll provide relief depth.

García has opted to hit the open market after allowing 22 runs (20 earned) on 19 hits with a 12/8 K/BB ratio across 14 2/3 innings over 11 relief appearances split between the Twins and Reds this season. The 25-year-old righty should be able to land a minor-league deal with an invite to spring training this offseason.

Garcia was just optioned over the weekend, but now he’s off the 40-man roster. The 24-year-old has struggled with a 10.45 ERA over 10 1/3 innings this season.

Garcia spent a week with the big league club this time around, but again wasn’t particularly effective. He owns a cringe-inducing 10.45 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 8/7 K/BB ratio in 10 1/3 innings with the Twins on the season.

Garcia was just sent down Thursday but is back a day later to take the roster spot of Miguel Sano (paternity).

Garcia appeared in four games with seven innings pitched with a 5.14 ERA after being claimed off waivers from the Reds. The right-hander should be back before the end of the year.

Garcia was just recently claimed off waivers. He’ll operate in middle relief.

Garcia had been designated for assignment. He’s been sent to Triple-A St. Paul.

This move follows the Reds’ trade with the Yankees for lefty relievers Luis Cessa and Justin Wilson. Garcia has surrendered 37 runs -- 35 earned -- in 46 1/3 career major league innings.

Garcia, 24, had a 3.38 ERA with 29 strikeouts and 13 walks over 24 innings in Triple-A. He’s previously pitched with the Rays and the Phillies, though has yet to enjoy any real success in the majors.
