Rockies signed C Elvin Soto to a minor league contract.
The 24-year-old spent the 2016 season in the independent Canadian-American Association where he slashed .246/.309/.377 with five homers and 39 RBI in 88 games. He’s nothing more than organizational catching depth for the Rockies.
