Orioles purchased the contract of Eric Beaulac from Double-A Bowie and placed him on the 15-day disabled list with a torn labrum in his right hip.
This was merely done as a procedural move, as the Orioles attempt to maneuver their roster and add flexibility before the postseason. Beaulac, a 26-year-old right-hander, will miss the remainder of the season.
