Reds sent LHP Evan Kravetz outright to Triple-A Louisville.
Kravetz was DFA’d Saturday after making his major league debut Wednesday, retiring both hitters he faced in a game against the A’s. It’s his first outright assignment, so he will have to accept it.

Reds designated LHP Evan Kravetz for assignment.
Kravetz made just one relief appearance for the Reds after being called up earlier this week from Triple-A Louisville. The 27-year-old lefty should pass through waivers unclaimed and remain with Cincinnati as extra organizational relief depth.

Reds selected the contract of LHP Evan Kravetz from Triple-A Louisville.
It’s the first trip to the big leagues for the big 27-year-old southpaw. Kravetz — a fifth-round selection by the Reds from the 2019 draft — had posted a 3.40 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and a 47/22 K/BB ratio across 42 1/3 innings of work. He’ll add a fresh arm to the Reds’ bullpen with Casey Legumina getting optioned to Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move on Wednesday.
