Nationals signed RHP Gabriel Arias to a minor league contract.
The 27-year-old sat out the entire 2016 season after registering a 4.48 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 85/37 K/BB ratio in 128 2/3 innings between Double-A Mobile and Triple-A Reno for the Diamondbacks in 2015. He’ll add minor league rotation depth for the Nats.
