Twins sent LHP Gabriel Moya outright to Triple-A Rochester.
Moya cleared waivers after being designated for assignment and will remain in the organization.

Twins designated LHP Gabriel Moya for assignment.
The move clears a spot for Ronald Torreyes’ return from the restricted list. Moya has missed time with a shoulder issue this year while posting a rough 6.85 ERA over six starts and 15 relief appearances between Double- and Triple-A.

Twins activated RHP Gabriel Moya from the 10-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Rochester.
Moya is over his shoulder issue but will remain in the minors after completing his rehab. He should get a shot to help in the Twins’ bullpen eventually.

Gabriel Moya (shoulder) has shifted his minor league rehab assignment from Double-A Pensacola to Triple-A Rochester.
Moya worked 1 2/3 scoreless innings over two rehab appearances at Double-A. He should be an option for the Twins’ bullpen by the end of this week, assuming all goes well for him at the Triple-A level. The 24-year-old left-hander has been out all season with a shoulder issue.

Twins placed RHP Gabriel Moya on the 10-day injured list with shoulder tendonitis.
The Twins were hoping that Moya would be ready to roll for the start of the season, but instead will begin the year on the injured list. He posted a 4.71 ERA and 31/13 K/BB ratio in 2018 over 36 1/3 innings, and won’t have much fantasy relevance even when healthy.

Gabriel Moya is currently sidelined in Twins camp with tightness around the back of his shoulder.
It’s considered a minor issue, but it could still knock Moya out of the competition for a back-end bullpen spot in Minnesota. He posted a 4.71 ERA and 31/13 K/BB ratio in 36 1/3 innings last season for the Twins.

Gabriel Moya will serve as the Twins’ opener on Tuesday night against the Tigers.
Moya will probably go one or two innings before giving way to Kohl Stewart. It’s not an ideal situation for any sort of fantasy production.

Gabriel Moya will serve as the Twins’ opener again on Wednesday versus the Tigers.
Moya worked a scoreless inning as the opener on Monday. It sounds like Stephen Gonsalves will follow him Wednesday and try to handle the bulk of the workload.

Gabriel Moya fired a scoreless first inning as the Twins opener against the Tigers on Monday.
Moya gave up only one hit, a two-out single by Nicholas Castellanos, and also recorded a strikeout. The 23-year-old southpaw made his third appearance as an opener this month. He’s allowed just two runs across five innings in that specialized role. He’s 3-1 with a 4.73 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 29/12 K/BB ratio in 29 appearances (three starts). He doesn’t offer enough volume to be relevant in shallow mixed leagues right now, but the Twins have carved out an intriguing role for him long-term.

Twins purchased the contract of LHP Gabriel Moya from Double-A Chattanooga.
Moya, acquired from the Diamondbacks in July for catcher John Ryan Murphy, boasts a promising 2.57 ERA and 11.5 K/9 in 263 career minor league innings. He’ll be broken in as a lower-leverage middle reliever.
