Jack Dreyer turned in a hitless ninth for his fourth save Saturday versus the Giants.
Just how the Dodgers intended for things to go back in March, Dreyer got the call in the ninth after Will Klein struck out the side in the eighth. The unheralded Dreyer has a 2.80 ERA in 74 innings over 64 appearances this season. There’s really no telling who will get saves for the Dodgers next week and in the postseason, but Dreyer is clearly in the mix.

Jack Dreyer tossed a scoreless inning and picked up the save against the Orioles on Sunday.
Dreyer’s save is his first since he picked up a one-out save against the Padres on August 15. Dreyer is a solid reliever with a 2.74 ERA, but he’s not in the mix for a significant amount of saves with the Dodgers the rest of this season.

Jack Dreyer got the final out to pick up a save Friday against the Padres.
Alexis Díaz got the first two outs of the inning, but when the Padres pinch-hit Ryan O’Hearn for Jose Iglesias, the Dodgers turned to Dreyer to get the final out. He did just that with a flyout to center to complete the game. Dreyer has just two saves in 2025, and it seems unlikely that total is going to increase significantly in the coming days/months.

Brought in to pitch the ninth with a four-run lead, Blake Treinen was pulled after giving up two singles and two walks while getting two outs Monday against the Reds.
Jake Dreyer came in with one run in and retired Matt McLain for his first major league save. Treinen is one of the relievers in the mix for saves in the Dodgers pen with Tanner Scott out, but this won’t help the cause and there’s always a decent chance he’ll wind up back on the IL at some point. He seems like a weaker fantasy option than Kirby Yates or Alex Vesia, and the Dodgers might yet go ahead and settle the matter for good by acquiring a closer at the deadline.

The Dodgers will have Jack Dreyer open against the Rockies on Tuesday.
Justin Wrobleski is expected to be the bulk guy. He last pitched Wednesday, when he threw 74 pitches over five innings in relief. It’ll be Dreyer’s fifth time opening this season. He’s not going to get a chance to face a lefty unless he lasts six batters until Ryan McMahon comes up.

Jack Dreyer allowed one run with two strikeouts over two innings as the opener for the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Dreyer opened Tuesday’s bullpen game against the Padres and allowed a run on two hits in the first inning. He came back for a clean second inning before Lou Trivino took over in the third. Trivino would surrender two runs over two frames in his appearance. Dreyer has been an effective reliever for Los Angeles, posting a 2.87 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and a 37/15 K/BB ratio across 37 2/3 innings.

Jack Dreyer will open for the Dodgers in Tuesday’s game against the Padres.
Matt Sauer is supposed to be the bulk guy tonight, but it’ll be Dreyer going first. He’s topped out at three innings this season and he hasn’t pitched in six days, so if he’s effective, he might go a little longer than the typical opener.

Landon Knack allowed four runs in five innings of relief against the Diamondbacks on Monday.
Knack came in after Jack Dreyer worked as an opener, and Dreyer gets the loss as he gave up three runs in his two innings. Knack wasn’t much better, as he gave up six hits — two of them homers — with two walks in another ineffective outing for the 27-year-old hurler. Knack is scheduled to face the Mets over the weekend, but fantasy managers should explore other options for that contest.

Jack Dreyer will open Monday’s game against the Diamondbacks.
Dreyer will face a couple batters at the outset of Monday’s series opener before handing the ball to Landon Knack for a bulk relief outing. The 26-year-old lefty holds a solid 2.55 ERA across 24 2/3 innings (18 appearances, two starts) this season in his first taste of the big leagues.

The Dodgers plan to use Ben Casparius as a bulk guy behind Jack Dreyer in Monday’s game against the Marlins.
Dreyer will likely go an inning or two. He also opened in front of Matt Sauer against the Marlins last week, and the Dodgers won that game 15-2. Casparius is being stretched out to handle a starter’s workload and could turn out to be an interesting pickup in mixed leagues once he’s ready to throw 90 pitches an outing.
