Larsen

Larsen was acquired from the Mariners back in mid-July and never wound up appearing in a game for the Giants. The 28-year-old outfielder got into one contest last year for the Mariners.

Larsen got into one game last year for the Mariners and is merely organizational depth at this stage of his career. The 28-year-old outfielder has hit a respectable .313/.462/.337 with zero homers and one stolen base across 106 plate appearances this season at the Triple-A level.

Larsen will probably miss about six weeks. The 28-year-old is slated to be a part of Triple-A Tacoma’s outfield once healthy.

It’s unclear if he’ll end up needing surgery, but either way it sounds like it will be a while before he returns to game action. Larsen, 28, struck out in his lone plate appearance with the Mariners last season (his MLB debut) after spending five seasons in the minors. Assuming he bounces back to full health, he’ll serve as upper-level outfield depth in Seattle’s minor league system.

Larsen was an emergency call up last week, and was designated for assignment after the Mariners claimed Travis Jankowski. He’s not considered a legitimate prospect.

Larsen, who was just optioned back to Double-A Arkansas after making his big-league debut last weekend as an emergency injury-related fill-in, has been removed from the Mariners’ 40-man roster to make room for Jake Lamb. The 27-year-old rookie has a strong shot at passing through waivers unclaimed.

Larsen has been shipped back to the minors to make room for newly-acquired veteran outfielder Travis Jankowski on the Mariners’ active roster. The 27-year-old rookie made his big-league debut on Sunday against the Astros.

Larsen is joining the Mariners after the team put both Julio Rodríguez and Dylan Moore on the injured list. The 27-year-old outfielder was hitting .260/.367/.405 with six homers and six steals across 360 plate appearances in Triple-A.
