Dodgers acquired LHP Jarret Martin and INF-OF Tyler Henson from the Orioles for LHP Dana Eveland.
Martin, 22, has a 4.65 ERA over his first two seasons in the minors, averaging 8.7 K/9 and 5.9 BB/9. Dodgers GM Ned Colletti did well to get something of value for someone who was a pretty good bet to be non-tendered.

Dodgers purchased the contract of LHP Jarret Martin from Double-A Chattanooga.
Martin, whom the Dodgers acquired in the Dana Eveland trade with the Orioles in 2011, had a 4.30 ERA and 106 strikeouts in 96 1/3 innings between High-A and Double-A last year. The move means the 24-year-old will be protected in the Rule 5 Draft in December.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher
Dodgers designated LHP Jarret Martin for assignment.
Martin was designated for assignment to make room for Mike Bolsinger on the 40-man roster. The 25-year-old had a 3.29 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 54 2/3 innings with Double-A Chattanooga this past season.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher
Dodgers sent LHP Jarret Martin outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Martin was designated for assignment last month and passed through waivers without drawing a claim. The 25-year-old lefty reliever had a decent 3.29 ERA in 54 2/3 innings this past season at the Double-A level.

Brewers acquired LHP Jarret Martin and INF/OF Matt Long from the Dodgers for C Shawn Zarraga.
Martin posted a 3.29 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and 64/48 K/BB ratio in 54 2/3 innings this past season at Double-A. He has pretty good stuff, but control is obviously a major issue for the 25-year-old left-hander. Maybe the Brewers can get that ironed out.

Athletics signed LHP Jarret Martin to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Martin put up a promising 2.04 ERA across 37 relief appearances this past season with the Double-A affiliate of the Giants, though he did walk 30 batters in 39 2/3 innings. The 28-year-old left-hander seems doubtful to crack Oakland’s bullpen out of camp next spring.
