Angels purchased the contract of OF Jarrett Parker from Triple-A Salt Lake.
He’s taking the place of Brian Goodwin, who was placed on the injured list with a wrist contusion. Parker hasn’t played in the MLB since 2017, and owns a career .257/.335/.455 line in his time in the majors. The 30-year-old was excellent with the Bees this year, however, with a .296 average, 1.028 OPS and 19 homers over 64 games in the PCL. He’ll likely be a fourth outfielder while Goodwin is on the shelf.
