Jeff Moore pitched three scoreless innings Tuesday in his start for Honolulu of the Hawaiian Winter League.
Moore, a 2005 17th-round pick out of UNC Wilmington, had a 2.29 ERA and a 60/5 K/BB ratio in 78 2/3 innings while being used mostly as a starter for SS Single-A Aberdeen this season. The 23-year-old possesses a below average fastball, so he isn’t much more than a middle relief prospect. Still, he’s part of the improved depth in the Baltimore system.
