White Sox acquired 2B Jeral Perez, INF/OF Miguel Vargas, and 3B Alex Albertus from the Dodgers as part of a three-team trade.
Perez is not a heralded prospect but is a well-respected one in scouting circles. The 19-year-old is a well-rounded player who figures to be solid in all areas without being elite in any. He’s currently hitting .264/.380/.420 in 75 games at Single-A with 10 home runs and four steals. If he continues to develop, he could become an MLB regular at third base with average power and batting average. Obviously, that is many years down the road.
