Red Sox signed RHP Joe Jones to a minor league contract.
Jones spent part of the 2021 campaign in the Diamondbacks’ minor league system before pitching last season for the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks of the independent American Association, finishing with a 3.72 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 66/44 K/BB ratio across 55 2/3 innings (43 appearances). The 27-year-old righty reliever gives the Red Sox some extra organizational depth.
