White Sox manager Jerry Manuel indicated Josh Paul would catch Dan Wright on Saturday and possibly Mark Buehrle’s next start.
Miguel Olivo has caught all 11 games since Sandy Alomar Jr. went on the DL. This would seem to make it clear that Alomar won’t be back Saturday, which is the first day he’s eligible to return.

Cubs have agreed to terms with Josh Paul on a minor-league contract.
Paul was waived by the White Sox last week. He will report to Triple-A Iowa, and could see some time with the Cubs later this season. Absolutely no reasons to own him, though.

Angels placed catcher Josh Paul on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Monday, with a sprained right thumb.
Paul has received 32 at-bats -- none during August -- while spending the entire season on the active roster. He’ll be back in a couple of weeks.

Josh Paul got his first start of the season last night behind the plate.
Paul is behind Sandy Alomar Jr. and Miguel Olivo. His starts will be rare and he won’t have any value.

White Sox sent catcher Josh Paul outright to Triple-A Charlotte.
We’re just shocked that there weren’t 29 teams just dying to grab Paul off waivers. At least the White Sox’s unhealthy obsession with him seems over for now.

Angels agreed to terms with catcher Josh Paul on a one-year, $450,000 contract.
Yes, it looks like the Angels will carry three catchers once again. Paul, who spent all of last season on the roster yet received only 70 at-bats in 46 games, would earn $15,000 bonuses for playing in 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 games.

Angels activated catcher Josh Paul from the 15-day disabled list.
Paul is back to act as the third catcher. He received 32 at-bats while spending the first four-plus months on the active roster.

With rosters expanding today, the Angels are expected to activate Josh Paul from the disabled list and call up Curtis Pride and Greg Jones from Triple-A.
To make room for Pride on the 40-man roster, the Angels moved Dallas McPherson (hip) to the 60-day disabled list.

White Sox recalled catcher Josh Paul from Triple-A Charlotte.
Paul will back up Miguel Olivo until Sandy Alomar Jr. returns. No fantasy value.
