Phillies purchased the contract of OF Kelly Dugan from Double-A Reading.
Dugan posted a promising .291/.352/.506 slash line with 20 home runs and 59 RBI in 112 games this past year for the Phillies’ High-A and Double-A teams. The 23-year-old is now protected from the Rule 5 Draft.

Cubs signed OF Kelly Dugan to a minor league contract.
Dugan was outrighted off the Phillies roster in mid-October. The 25-year-old slashed .274/.349/.358 with three home runs and 33 RBI in 310 at-bats across three minor league levels for the Phillies in 2015. He’ll function as organizational depth in the outfield for the Cubs.

Phillies sent OF Kelly Dugan outright to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
The move clears Dugan from the 40-man roster. Between three minor league levels this season, the 25-year-old outfielder hit .274/.349/.358 with three homers and 33 RBI across 310 at-bats.

Kelly Dugan suffered a stress reaction in his right foot last week while running sprints.
He’ll be in a walking boot for the next couple of weeks. Dugan is on the Phillies’ 40-man roster, but he was doubtful to crack the team’s 25-man Opening Day roster. The 24-year-old outfielder spent the 2014 season at Double-A Reading, batting .296/.383/.435 in 76 games.
