Wilson is now protected from the Rule 5 draft as a result of being added to the Jays’ 40-man roster. The outfielder turns 24 years old in January and has yet to slug above .400 at any level of professional ball.

The 26-year-old speedster spent the 2016 season in the Marlins’ organization, slashing .255/.346/.336 with three homers, 32 RBI and 30 stolen bases between Double-A Jacksonville and Triple-A New Orleans. He’ll function as organizational depth for the A’s.

The move clears a spot for the newly-promoted Billy Burns on Oakland’s 40-man roster. Wilson was just claimed off waivers from the Blue Jays earlier this month and could soon be on the move once again.

It’s the third new organization that Wilson has joined since April. The 24-year-old outfielder has good speed but he’s a weak .239/.333/.338 hitter at Triple-A.

Wilson was plucked off waivers from the Twins back in May. He has struggled to the tune of .234/.312/.333 with two homers and 22 RBI across three minor league stops this season. He’s unlikely to generate much interest on waivers, and is likely to return as minor league depth for the Jays.

Wilson cleared waivers after being designated for assignment and will remain in the organization. He had just been claimed off waivers by the Blue Jays last month.

The move clears a spot for the newly-claimed Darin Mastroianni on the active roster. Wilson, a 24-year-old outfielder, was just added to the 40-man roster back in November.

The move clears space on the 40-man roster for Chris Parmelee. Wilson, who was just claimed off waivers from the Blue Jays a couple weeks ago, could be headed back to Toronto given GM Alex Anthopoulos’ affinity for being active on the waiver wire.

Alex Anthopoulos is playing the waiver wire game again. Wilson went from the Jays to the Twins on waivers just a couple weeks ago and now is headed back the other direction. He’ll provide minor league depth.

Wilson is a .228/.326/.312 career hitter in the minors, but he’s a very good athlete and the Twins need all the outfield depth they can get. The 24-year-old was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays on April 22.
