    Rays released 1B Kyle Roller.
The 28-year-old hit just .216 with 59 strikeouts in 162 at-bats for Triple-A Durham this year. Roller enjoyed a breakout season with Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2014 (.300, 26 HR, 74 RBI) but has hit just .228 over his last 588 at-bats. He has a good chance to catch on elsewhere as minor league depth.

Rays signed 1B Kyle Roller to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Roller, who will turn 28 in March, batted .232/.339/.390 with 14 homers at Triple-A in the Yankees organization in 2015. He’s simply organizational filler.
