Ramsey had been designated for assignment last weekend to clear room on the 40-man roster. The 27-year-old reliever had a 5.50 ERA, 1.81 WHIP, and 48/27 K/BB ratio across 32 appearances at Triple-A Charlotte, where he’ll begin the 2024 season.

After acquiring two left-handed-hitting outfielders, we thought the White Sox might finally do the unthinkable and drop Gavin Sheets from the roster. However, it’s not that time yet it seems. Ramsey, 27, made his major league debut in August and had a 5.85 ERA in 20 innings for the White Sox.
