Indians acquired RHP Loek Van Mil from the Angels for future cash considerations.
Van Mil has registered an ugly 6.30 ERA and 1.70 WHIP in 10 innings this season at the Triple-A level. The 7-foot-1 right-hander may struggle to ever reach the bigs.

Angels sent RHP Loek Van Mil outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Acquired from the Twins in the Brian Fuentes trade last year, the 7-foot-1 right-hander held a 2.04 ERA, 6.2 K/9 and 3.1 BB/9 in 66 1/3 innings at Double-A in 2011. At 27 and having never pitched above Double-A, Van Mil is running out of time in his quest to become the tallest player in history to appear in a MLB game.

Reds signed RHP Loek Van Mil to a minor league contract.
The 7'1 native of the Netherlands, has struggled to find consistency over seven seasons in the minor leagues. Still just 28-years-old, he possesses tremendous stuff and could crack the major league bullpen if he improves his command.

Loek Van Mil agreed to a deal Friday with the Rakuten Eagles of Japan’s Pacific League.
The towering 29-year-old spent the 2013 campaign in the Reds system, where he posted a 3.52 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 34/30 K/BB ratio over 64 innings of work between Double-A Pensacola and Triple-A Louisville.

Twins released RHP Loek Van Mil.
The 7-foot-1 Netherlands native had allowed 15 runs (14 earned) in 5 1/3 innings over his first five appearances (including one start) with Triple-A Rochester. He’ll attempt to find another opportunity elsewhere.

Twins designated RHP Loek Van Mil for assignment.
The move opened a 40-man roster spot for new big-league reliever Brian Fuentes. Van Mil, 26 in September, has posted a pitiful 6.37 ERA and 2.09 WHIP in 29 2/3 innings this season at Double-A New Britain. With those kind of numbers, he won’t draw very much interest from opposing teams.

Angels acquired RHP Loek Van Mil from the Twins to complete the Brian Fuentes trade.
Van Mil was just designated for assignment on Saturday. At 7-foot-1, he is currently the tallest player in baseball, but his results have fallen short of respectability with a 6.37 ERA and 2.09 WHIP in 29 2/3 innings this season at Double-A New Britain.
