Mariners selected SS Logan Warmoth from the Blue Jays in the MiLB Rule 5 Draft.
Warmoth was a first-round selection of the Blue Jays back in 2017 and has yet to reach the majors. The 27-year-old infielder has spent the last two seasons at the Triple-A level.

The Toronto Blue Jays selected Logan Warmoth with the 22nd pick of the 2017 MLB Draft.
This is a surprise, but a good one. Warmoth was rumored to go in the first 15 selections because of high his floor is. He has an excellent approach, and he uses the whole field. He doesn’t have elite range, but he has a strong enough arm with just enough speed to project as a shortstop going forward. He immediately becomes one of the best prospects in the Toronto system.
