Guardians signed OF Lorenzo Cedrola to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Cedrola, 26, hit .250/.373/.410 in 59 games for the Mets’ Triple-A affiliate last season. He also had a nice winter in Venezuela, batting .333/.390/.436 in 187 plate appearances. A decent center fielder, he could be a threat to see some time with the Guardians, who really should be souring on Myles Straw at this point.
