Red Sox acquired RHP Luis De La Rosa from the Royals.
The 18-year-old hurler is one of three players-to-be-named that went to the Red Sox on Friday to complete the three-team trade that sent Andrew Benintendi to the Royals. The only stats that we have on De La Rosa are from his time in the Dominican Summer League as a 16-year-old in 2019, where he posted a 2.33 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 52/7 K/BB ratio across 38 2/3 innings. He’s an intriguing young arm, but obviously a long way from being big league ready.
